Brake booster conversion using Gen1 iBooster.
This kit is not compatible with Gen2 iBooster as the Gen2 is bulky and does not fit within the space of these chassis.
The kit utilizes the factory brake pedal arm and includes a adjustable extension which connects the arm to the booster.
The harness included in the kit is plug-and-play into the booster and requires wiring into the car. 3 wires are wired to the battery as a constant power and 1 to ignition power for signal.
Please note that this kit does not fit the RHD models with standard intake plumbing and requires a front entry intake manifold in order to provide space for the brake booster.
Without an external controller (CAN bus) connected, the Bosch iBooster enters a fail-safe mode and defaults to a 1:1 pedal ratio, essentially acting like a standard vacuum brake booster. Wiring the booster to a Standalone ECU adds the ability of custom assist ratios and pedal feel.
